Getting Started
Getting started with a new hosting company can be a daunting task. If you are new to hosting all together it can be even harder.
At The Web Hosting Reivew, we have compiled a few simple tips that should help you get on your way with getting your new site up and running with little guess work.
Try Before Buy. If you have an idea of what you want, but are not sure if you have all of the items nailed down such as:
1. Do I need to design my own site or do I need a developer?
2. What platform should I choose?
3. What happens if something breaks?
4. Do I have the right FTP Software?
Then call the potential hosting company you are considering doing business with, they should be more than willing to help provide these answers. If they are not, hang up and call one that is.
Uptime. Can your host produce uptime charts? Network uptime is a must and any good hosting company should be able to provide charts showing their up time.
Be Realistic. If your site is very important, then spend more than $3 per month for your hosting plan. Remember, support is built into these plan prices.
